AnnMarie Serrano, AMFT
Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Supervised by Leilani Mitchell, LMFT – Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #127220

I am passionate about helping people in my community feel heard, understood, and empowered. I believe that therapy should feel like a collaborative, supportive conversation—not like school or a bootcamp. My goal is to create a space where you can heal, grow, and discover strengths you may not have realized you had.
I have extensive experience working in the mental health field including multiple years at a local Anxiety Program and supporting individuals in PHP and IOP levels of care. I also spent 3 years at the California Psychological Institute as a Client Care Coordinator, where I had the opportunity to support a wide range of clients. Over the years, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, and adults—including those in the foster care system and members of the unhoused community.
My approach to therapy is rooted in evidence-based practices, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Attachment-Based Therapy. I tailor my work to the unique needs of each client, always bringing a person-centered lens to our work together. My style in therapy is conversational, warm, and real. I aim to meet each client where they are, treating you as a whole person—not a diagnosis, a label, or a project to fix. I believe healing happens when people feel safe to be themselves, and I work to build a space where you feel comfortable enough to be honest, curious, and human.
At my core, I believe that healing happens in relationships built on trust, empathy, and genuine connection. You are the expert on your own life—and I’m here to walk alongside you as you explore, reflect, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
