Dora Cantu, ASW

Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker

Supervised by Christina Bachicha, LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker #98360

I understand that we all have times in our lives when we feel alone and as if no one understands our struggles. Society’s mental health stigmas can make afraid to tell our families and friends what we’re going through. I am here to share with you that you are not alone in your feelings. My goal is to assist you in discovering your inner power and approaching life’s challenges from a different perspective.

I believe we are the only ones who truly understand ourselves. We possess the inner strength to live happy lives. As a result, there are times when we require assistance in discovering our inner power.  As a mental health therapist, I provide assistance through the use of a variety of mental health approaches.

Therapeutic modalities I utilize include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and client-centered treatment. No single method is appropriate for everyone; therefore, I employ a variety of mental health therapy approaches and tailor treatment to your specific needs and concerns. I can assist you with navigating issues such as depression, anxiety, and other life stressors

I am an Associate Clinician Social Worker (ACSW) who speaks Spanish. I am a dedicated adult and adolescent mental health clinician with experience, compassion, and motivation to implement effective treatment strategies. I have a proven history of working with a diverse population and I am culturally sensitive. I have the ability to form therapeutic relationships and deliver great care through establishing rapport, trust, and respect.

“Life obstacles and stressors are not designed to stop you from enjoying your existence; they are there to help you discover your inner strength and lead you along the path to happiness!” is my slogan.
