Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Supervised by Tammie Makely, LMFT – Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #113186
Hello there! As a therapist, I understand how individuals can become entangled in challenging behaviors, thoughts, and emotions that negatively impact relationships and perpetuate personal distress. I utilize a compassion-focused, person-centered approach to create a comprehensive, holistic, and personalized therapeutic experience. I believe that the therapeutic relationship itself is a crucial element in the healing process, and I strive to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space for clients to explore and transform. My clients say my genuineness in sessions and easy-going nature help them feel safe and comfortable, allowing them to express their inner selves.
I provide culturally sensitive care and work with clients to address phase of life problems, stress, anxiety, depression, and grief. My work with children and adolescents aims to address self-esteem issues, adjustment issues, anxiety, and behavioral issues by helping them better understand and more effectively communicate their emotions. When working with couples, I utilize techniques from the Gottman Method as well as emotion-focused couples therapy to address relationship issues, such as infidelity.
I often utilize evidence-based interventions from CBT and DBT to teach practical skills, but my work is collaborative, strengths-based, and deeply rooted in empathy. I hold space for clients to explore their relationships with their thoughts and emotions, reach acceptance, and provide guidance in living in alignment with core values. As a therapist, I believe you are the expert in your own life, and I hope to help support your individual growth toward reaching your goals. I look forward to walking alongside you in your journey toward healing!
