Nicole Parker, LCSW, PPS
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I am passionate about providing therapy to those in need. As a client focused therapist, I truly believe individuals are doing the best they can. I provide assistance in finding better ways of coping, as well as building new perspectives that may help with healing and growth. My sessions
are fairly structured but have the ability to be flexible.
A session with me will typically begin with a weekly check in, which includes reviewing your experiences that may be impacting you since the previous session. Next, you are encouraged to reflect upon the different events that have occurred throughout the week. I encourage clients to bring up anything that has been bothering or concerning them so that we can process it, and attempt to problem solve any issues. The session will typically end with a review of skills that are relevant to the issues/concerns from the previous or upcoming week.
I have experience providing a variety of forms of therapy however I primarily utilize psychodynamic therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I have past experience working within the community and providing counseling services in schools. I am aware of current socio-economic conditions, trends, and issues affecting Fresno County communities which aids me in communicating effectively with people of various educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds.
