Willie Muhammad, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Empathy has no script. There is no right or wrong way to do it. It’s simply listening, holding space, withholding judgment, emotionally connecting, and communicating that incredibly healing message of “You’re Not Alone.”
In my experience as a therapist, I have assisted individuals with challenges such as, depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use and schizophrenia. In addition, I have extensive experience working with youth and adult offenders in our judicial system.
My goal as a therapist is to assist you with overcoming challenges by providing a safe space to process your emotions and feelings. In addition to a safe space, feeling understood, respected, and genuinely cared for is necessary. I aim to create an empathetic, non-judgmental environment. I firmly believe that you are the expert on yourself and your experiences, and my goal is to meet you where you are on your journey.
